In a unexpected collaboration that challenges traditional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Revealed

According to the formal statement, "An unusual meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of banned ceremonies and terrifying changes echo through the shadows." The storyline features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine sect.

The mission centers on "bizarre tests and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Transformations

The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a powerful moment showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Bonus Content

Players who finish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana alongside numerous items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

• Survey Corps steed

Newest Free Story Addition

This release also introduces the game's newest no-cost story addition, titled "The Mystery." This playful mission pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they swap distinctive techniques: Naoe debuts a dramatic version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters non-lethal stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "The Enigma" also contains a original environmental puzzle that may finally explain some lingering questions from the main storyline.
